I have enjoyed the rewiews on this site when preparing for a trip and feel the need to contribute where possible. I notice that there is very little posted on Mongolia so here are a few of my experiences from a recent visit. It is true that the night life in Ulaanbaatar is pretty tame by comparison to other Asian Capitals. It is a difficult city to get around and not a lot of English is spoken.
